摘要：
Das Delir ist die häufigste neuropsychiatrische Komplikation im Aufwachraum (AWR). Neben einem erhöhten medizinischen, insbesondere pflegerischen Versorgungsaufwand drohen Betroffenen eine verzögerte Rehabilitation mit verlängertem Krankenhausaufenthalt und eine erhöhte Mortalität. Daher sind ein frühzeitiges Erkennen von Risikofaktoren und die Durchführung möglicher Präventionsmaßnahmen essenziell. Sollte trotz Anwendung dieser Präventionsmaßnahmen postoperativ im AWR ein Delir auftreten, sollte dieses durch die Anwendung geeigneter Screeningverfahren rechtzeitig erkannt und therapiert werden. Hierbei erweisen sich Arbeitsanweisungen zur Delirprophylaxe und standardisierte Testverfahren zur Detektion eines Delirs als hilfreich. Nach Ausschöpfung nichtpharmakologischer Therapieverfahren kann eine zusätzliche medikamentöse Therapie indiziert sein.
