摘要
The fluctuation of the ambient temperature during the sensing action may seriously affect the performance characteristics of optical sensors based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR). For example, at elevated temperature surface plasmons can be damped due to increased phonon–electron scattering in the metal. Owing to this, the SPR curve becomes broader and, hence, the resolution and sensitivity will be reduced.
