摘要
In this study, design, construction and laboratory tests of a pyramid solar desalination system with acoustic technology were investigated. The designed solar desalination system includes a pyramidal glass coating, a black galvanized metal pond, ultrasonic modules, sealant for insulation and blower that is manufactured. The environmental parameters investigated in this research include ambient temperature, glass coating temperature, saltwater temperature inside the chamber, amount of salt water entered into the system, amount of produced fresh water and the depth of the pond water. Used acoustic technology includes two ultrasonic modules with a frequency of 50–60 Hz with voltage consumption of 24 V and the amount of evaporation of 550 ml/h for each module. The ultrasonic system converts electrical signals into sound waves and separates water into its smallest droplets and produces cold vapor. Two types of experiments are conducted on the solar desalination system in two consecutive days. Tests with and without acoustic technology were conducted in 9-h period from 8 am to 17 pm once in winter and again in summer. According to the obtained results in all experiments, in models without acoustic technology in winter, the efficiency of the system was about 2%, but the same test in summer had a relatively better efficiency of about 7%. In experiments with acoustic technology in winter, the efficiency of the system was 30%, and in summer, this efficiency increased to about 40%.
