We prove certain properties of solutions of the equation ∂2αu/∂x12α + ∂2αu/∂x22α + ∂2αu/∂x32α = 0, α ε(1/2;1], in a domain Ω ⊂ R3, which are similar to the properties of harmonic functions. By using the potential method, we investigate basic boundary-value problems for this equation. © 1999 Kluwer Academic/Plenum Publishers.
