Zolpidem helps promote sleep when used 'as needed'

Zolpidem, a nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic, is a useful therapeutic option in the short-term pharmacological treatment of patients with insomnia. Zolpidem improves sleep in patients with insomnia, including when used on an 'as-needed' basis.
