In the present investigation, we consider two new general subclasses HΣ(τ, μ, λ, γ; α) and HΣ(τ, μ, λ, γ; β) of the class Σ consisting of analytic and bi-univalent functions in the open unit disk U. For functions belonging to the two classes introduced here, we find estimates on the Taylor–Maclaurin coeffcients | a2| and | a3|. Several connections to some of the earlier known results are also pointed out. © 2016, African Mathematical Union and Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
