The peculiarities of adsorption-exclusion transition for poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) in binary mobile phase modifier-methylethylketone (MEK) have been studied by TLC. Mobile phase compositions corresponding to critical conditions have been determined. Chromatographic results were compared with viscometric data. It was shown that the characteristics of adsorption-exclusion transition depends both on thermodynamic quality of modifier and macromolecule-to-pore size ratio. The results for binary mobile phase modifier-MEK and modifier-tetrahydrofuran (THF) have been compared.
