摘要
Nickel oxide was electrodeposited on the substrates of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and the effects of depositing time and current density on the morphology of composite electrodes were discussed. Based on the systematic analysis, uniformly dispersing nickel oxide particles were obtained on exterior of individual CNTs. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images explicitly displayed the synthesized morphologies on different conditions and specifically, the size of deposited nanoparticles is approximate to 15–30 nm. Eventually, this as-prepared composite electrode was evaluated as an electrode for electrochemical capacitors. Electrochemical characterizations as cyclic voltammetry (CV) show the composite electrodes could reach higher specific capacitance than bare CNTs electrodes and perform excellent rate ability.
