Influence of abiotic (temperature, concentration of nutrients) andbiotic (macrophytes, phytoplankton, fish predation) factors on thespecies composition and seasonal dynamics of the zooplanktoncommunity (Rotifera and Crustacea) was analyzed. Stronginterrelations between phyto- and zooplankton as well as thelong-term effect of predation by fish on zooplankton were observed.An analysis of the qualitative and quantitative structure ofzooplankton was used to assess the trophic state of LakeŁuknajno.
