A method of smooth dynamic loading on the basis of the cosine spline function of the (2n-1)st order was proposed for process control. By smoothness of dynamic loading is meant shockless interfacing of the process modes such as start, speedup, retardation, reversion, persistence, stop. The method was grounded on four variants of smooth start of the synchronous generator.
