A mathematical model for calculating scale formation inside tubes at a constant wall temperature is proposed. Expressions are obtained for calculating the surface density and thickness of a scale layer as applied to the operating conditions of steam turbine condensers. The calculation results are compared with experimental data. © 2007 Pleiades Publishing, Inc.
