摘要
Power compensation is the main challenging issue for dense optical communication system because it affects the signal strength, and subsequently, performances of the received signals are degraded. So in this recommended research work, we have resolved this challenge for 12-Gbps dense communication systems (DWDM) with 80 channels using the three power compensation approaches (pre-power compensation, post-power compensation, and symmetrical power compensation). Further, power amplification has also been established with EDFA for the communication distance of 120 km. Furthermore, an analysis has been performed considering the two aspects of zero water peak fiber and nonzero dispersion-shifted fiber to get the required outcomes in terms of quality factor, output power, eye closure, and bit error rate, respectively. Final results have recommended that pre-power compensation is most appropriate for long-distance communication, while post-power compensation and symmetrical power compensation are also most suitable for short-distance communication.
