摘要
The theoretical hardness of materials is analyzed with allowance for the possible theoretical strength of a material subjected to indentation during the manifestation of various micromechanisms of an irreversible change in the indentation shape. To determine the ratio of hardness to Young's modulus (H/E) for maximally hardened materials is shown to be useful to refine the level of theoretical strength. © 2012 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
