Abstract: The influence of the heat supplied during electron beam additive manufacturing on the tribological characteristics of aluminum bronze is studied in laboratory experiments. The influence of heat treatment, with or without mechanical treatment, on the tribological characteristics of the printed samples is established. The slipping friction coefficients and wear of the samples are determined as a function of the structural state and mechanical properties of the samples. The state of the sample’s wear surfaces is investigated. It is found that the characteristics of printed aluminum bronze samples may be significantly improved by appropriate treatment. © 2023, Allerton Press, Inc.
