Dynamic triangle geometry: Families of lines with equal intercepts

A study was conducted, to demonstrate an investigation in triangle geometry, using Geometer's Sketchpad® that enables students in exploring and discovering significant results. The study revealed that these results are expressible in elementary terms in Advanced Euclidean Geometry. It also assumed basic commands of the Geometer's Sketchpad® and the availability of a tool folder, containing a number of tools for the classical centers of a triangle. Some of the tools contained in the folder of the sketchpad, include the centroid, the circumcenter, and circumcircle, and the orthocenter. The study also demonstrated that these tools are used in the testing of conjectures, in addition to constructions. It demonstrated that the Geometer's Sketchpad® is a powerful tool for discovering results in geometry.
