摘要
Five types of soils representing an evolutionary sequence have been distinguished within the Selenga River delta. At the first stage. alluvial meadow-swampy, swampy, and stratified soddy alluvial soils are formed. At the second stage, meadow calcareous alluvial soils are developed. At the third stage of evolution, leached meadow soils are widespread. This soil sequence is related to changes in the hydrological regime of delta areas upon gradual aggradation of the surface with corresponding changes in the character of vegetation.
