Highlights that patients are retaining natural teeth and living longer so there will be greater challenges in providing care for older people over time.Highlights that many older patients can be treated in a routine manner, though some are more complex to treat due to factors such as frailty, multi-morbidity, or dementia.Suggests that for complex patients, treatment is not always essential in the absence of symptoms and the risks and benefits of treatment should be carefully balanced.
