Experimental data on heat transfer in boiling in a film of liquid moving under gravity have been processed in dimensionless coordinates. A comparison between the data on heat transfer during boiling in a film with the data on heat transfer in pool boiling is carried out, which makes it possible to more accurately estimate the influence of the film flow velocity and spray entrainment on heat transfer in film boiling. © 2010 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.
