摘要
Context. Pain in oncology patients often leads to a specific movement behavior and has obvious effects on participation in the social system (compare international classification of functioning, disability and health, ICF). Discussion. The physiotherapeutic process (i.e. assessment, defining goals, planning therapy and defining active and passive interventions) supports patients throughout the whole course of an oncological disease from the early phase through to the palliative phase with the main goal to improve the quality of life. Physiotherapists as experts for movement and movement behavior are important members in the interdisciplinary team and can deliver important information regarding the effect of pain in a patient's daily functional life to improve the overall therapy strategy. © 2014 Springer-Verlag.
