Abstract: A way of finding acoustic fields scattered by an inhomogeneous area of space with a large wave size is proposed. The RAM of a personal computer is insufficient for solving the direct problem over the investigated area at once. The area is therefore partitioned into subareas, and an iterative procedure for solving the problem in each subarea is organized. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. 2024.
