Summary: Two new palm species, Licuala adscendens Barfod & Heatubun and L. urciflora Barfod & Heatubun, are described from Obi Island in North Moluccas and Waigeo Island in Raja Ampat District, Western New Guinea respectively. © The Board of Trustees of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, 2009.
