摘要:
Twelve patients underwent stapled hemorrhoidectomies on an outpatient basis at Cathay General Hospital. This paper describes the preliminary evaluation of a new hemorrhoidectomy technique involving the use of Endo GIA 30. Our goal was to show that stapled hemorrhoidectomies could be tolerated well in an outpatient setting with shortened procedure duration and minimal patient discomfort. We found that stapled hemorrhoidectomy is a technique that can be effectively used in an ambulatory surgical setting with good patient tolerance and acceptance.
