This is a summary of the author’s PhD Thesis, supervised by Valentín Alejandro Martínez and defended on February 12, 2007 at the Department of Economic Analysis and Business Management of the University of A Coruña (Spain). The thesis is written in Spanish and is available from the author upon request. This research work deals with the role of political marketing in electoral results to General Spanish Parliament. Specifically, a focus on sources of financing of the political parties is considered.
