摘要
Background and method: The International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems version 11 (ICD-11) has implemented various innovations in the field of mental disorders, such as the introduction of disorders specifically associated with stress as a new group of disorders. This group includes posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD (CPTSD), prolonged grief disorder and adjustment disorder. The aim of this article is to present these disorders in a differentiated manner and to highlight main changes compared to ICD-10. Results and conclusion: In the ICD-11 both PTSD and adjustment disorder have been newly conceptualized and are defined in a simplified and more specific manner compared to the ICD-10. The CPTSD represents a new disorder that goes beyond the psychopathological characteristics of PTSD and includes so-called disturbances in self-organization. Prolonged grief disorder has also been newly introduced in the ICD-11 and possesses a specific disorder profile for individuals in long-lasting and intensive grief. © 2024, The Author(s).
