摘要
Despite the emergence of multiple management options for patients with vestibular schwannomas, surgery remains an important part of the treatment algorithm. The retrosigmoid, translabyrinthine, and middle fossa craniotomies are the three most commonly employed approaches for microsurgical resection. Each has inherent advantages and limitations, which are described in this article. Additionally, we present indications and procedural highlights for each. © 2014, Springer Science+Business Media New York.
