摘要
The microstructure and mechanical properties of oxide films on specimens of cladding tubes from zirconium alloys with different chemical compositions are studied after autoclave tests and high-temperature oxidation simulating loss of coolant accidents. Quantitative investigation of the structure is performed and fracture surfaces of oxidized specimens are analyzed. The main factors responsible for the embrittlement of the alloys are determined.
