Abstract: A theoretical and numerical study is performed of the propagation of three-dimensional extremely short optical pulses in an optically anisotropic photonic crystal based on semiconductor carbon nanotubes. It is established that the propagation of pulses is stable. Dependences are revealed between the shape and velocity of pulse group packets on the parameters of the photonic crystal and the angle between the nanotube axis and direction of a pulse’s electric field. Birefringence is observed during the propagation of a pulse in an optically anisotropic medium. © 2022, Allerton Press, Inc.
