摘要
Although patients with Parkinson's disease frequently experience pain related to their condition, such pain is frequently undertreated in clinical practice. Based on clinical descriptions, painful sensations can be categorized as musculoskeletal, dystonic, radicular†peripheral neuropathic or central pain, which provide a useful framework for their diagnostic evaluation and multi-disciplinary management. Pain should be evaluated in relationship to the individual's parkinsonism and dopaminergic therapy. © 2013 Springer International Publishing Switzerland.
