摘要
A four-point bend specimen is being considered for the study of cracks initially close to and parallel to the interface of two dissimilar materials. Finite element analysis is employed to determine specimen configurations that produce constant stress intensity factors. Basing on the strain energy release and stress intensity factor plots, recommendations for support spacing and specimen heights are made. A method for determining normalized K-values for the specimen is also described.
