摘要
The coalescence of two identical viscous-liquid drops in weightlessness under the action of surface tension is considered. Inside the drops, the flow is described by the Navier-Stokes and Poisson (for the pressure) equations. On the liquid free surface in contact with the medium at rest, the dynamic and kinematic conditions are used. The problem is solved by a finite-difference method. The coalescence of the drops and the subsequent oscillations of the resultant drop are investigated. The results are compared with the known data.
