The effect of the radiation force of an acoustic field on a drop of ideal liquid in a viscous liquid is studied. Formulas for determining the magnitude and direction of the radiation force are derived. In the case of an ideal surrounding liquid, the dependence of the magnitude and direction of the radiation force on the frequency, density ratio, and adiabatic moduli of elasticity of the surrounding liquid and drop is analyzed numerically. © 2014, Springer Science+Business Media New York.
