Theory of doorway states for one-nucleon-transfer reactions

Doorway states considered in the present study are eigenstates of the Hamiltonian defined as the sum of the kinetic energy and the infinite-energy limit of the single-particle mass operator. Only Hartree diagrams with free-space nucleon-nucleon forces contribute in this limit; therefore, the observed doorway-state energies carry important information about both the nuclear structure and the free-space nucleon-nucleon interaction.
