Consideration is given to a stationary process of acceleration of an intense charged-particle beam in a spherical diode. The particle beam is characterized via a self-consistent kinetic approximation with allowance for the thermal straggling of velocities. The results of numerical calculations are presented, namely, the dependences of the potential on the coordinate and the current-voltage characteristics of the spherical diode.
