Influence of optical feedback on macroscopic quantum-noise-induced fluctuations in stimulated RS

Results of an experimental study of optical feedback as a method to suppress quantum-noise-induced macroscopic fluctuations in the emission of stimulated RS are reported. Statistic changes in the energy of Stokes pulses in the linear mode of scattering and those in the amplitudes of solition-like pulses in the nonlinear mode are shown. A decrease in the normal standard deviation of fluctuations is attained for both modes.
