摘要
The ligamentum patellae is prone to injury due to its involvement in the force transmission of the quadriceps muscle. The frequency of ruptures of the patella tendon is approximately 3-6%, whereby men are slightly more frequently affected than women. This article describes the case of a 16-year-old athletic male patient with a traumatic closed patella tendon rupture. As the results of the initial surgical treatment were unsatisfactory, a revision intervention was indicated. In order to achieve an optimal result in revision cases an exact preoperative planning should be carried out. The reconstruction in the patient described was carried out with an autologous pedicled semitendinosus tendon. The results are promising but at the time of this report the treatment had not been completely finalized.
