Optical limiting of laser radiation in dispersed liquid-crystal structures with fullerenes

摘要
Reverse saturable absorption (optical limiting) in liquid crystal composites based on polyimides and polyvinyl alcohol with added fullerenes was investigated at the laboratory level. It was established that laser radiation was attenuated tenfold in these structures. The experimental data were compared with the transmission of similar systems without fullerene additives.
