Steganographic algorithm for hiding a full-color image within another full-color image is described. The underlying mathematical concept is approved in the steganography of audio signals [3, 4]. For the sake of diminishing the artifacts in the extracted image, the algorithm includes randomization and derandomization procedures, which are realized as the permutation of the image pixels prior to hiding. The results of testing the algorithm are presented. © Pleiades Publishing, Inc., 2006.
