Artificial Magnetic Conductor Based on a Composite Material with Anisotropic Dielectric Permittivity and Its Application as a Small Screen

The structure of an artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) of alternating dielectric layers with high and low permittivity is presented. By numerically calculating the frequency dependence of the reflection coefficient on the AMC with a finite number of ceramic layers separated by air gaps, it is shown that with a decrease in the number of layers from 5 to 1 and while maintaining the total thickness, the frequency band of the AMC narrows from 14 to 11%. The effectiveness of the application of the AMC structure as a small-sized shield of electromagnetic radiation with a dipole emitter located on its surface is shown.
