Processing of deactivated platinum-rhenium catalysts

摘要
The literature review of processing methods for deactivated platinum-rhenium catalysts is presented, including a description of technologies used in practice. All known methods are divided into 2 main groups: 1) with complete dissolution of the catalyst base and 2) based on selective recovery of platinum and rhenium. Advantages and disadvantages of technological processes are discussed. It is noted that with regard to sharply rising prices of rhenium and the finiteness of its reserves, it is essential to practically implement the methods that provide high recovery of not only platinum, but also rhenium.
