Abstract—: The need to assess timely the main indicators of the country’s socio-economic development determines the improvement in methods for short-term analysis and forecasting of low-frequency parameters reflecting economic and, among other things, investment development. The article proposes an approach to devising a structural dynamic model for the operational assessment of fixed capital investment. It is based on calculating the integral monthly supply index of investment products, including the composite supply index of investment machinery and equipment and the composite supply index of building products. This indicator definitively reflects the current dynamics of investment activity in the economy and it can be recommended as a proxy index of fixed capital investment. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. 2024.
