摘要
This paper proposes a new single-phase single-stage multi-module inverter for PV applications, and presents its operating principle and control strategy to manage the mismatch between input and output power. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate that this inverter: 1) reduces the requirement of link bus capacitance, thus, allowing the use of small reliable film capacitors to increase the system's lifespan; 2) is modular for an easy expansion to higher power; 3) implements Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) and DC-AC inversion in one power conversion stage; 4) has the potential to reduce total cost per watts and creates a more compact design comparing to conventional microinverter-based PV system.
