Embracing Uncertainty

Given the lead time between writing Interface content and when it s published, I am fully aware that in the intervening weeks the situation with the pandemic or any of the other crises impacting the world may well render this missive woefully out-of-date. That being said It has now been well over two years since we hosted an in-person ECS meeting October 2019 in Atlanta was our last. While I am incredibly proud of how the ECS community (volunteers, members, staff, and other constituents) banded together to do what was necessary to keep the Society s vital work moving forward despite a years-long global pandemic, I feel, like so many people with whom I speak, that it is high time we resumed in-person meetings. © 2022 Electrochemical Society Inc..
