摘要
Although they were not born with a diachronic-historical perspective, various linguistic theories threw themselves into studying linguistic change. From the framework of historical sociolinguistics, a new look at the history of languages starts, including the speaker as a fundamental element in the processes of change. In the 21st century, the discourses and narratives that were built since the 19th century about the histories of languages were revisited. In this text, I discuss one aspect of the syntactic constitution of medieval Spanish. My hypothesis is that linguistic studies were crossed by monolingual language ideologies of natural and direct evolution from Latin. After textual and syntactic analysis, my conclusion is that a new perspective of productive linguistic contacts must be incorporated into the study of medieval Spanish.
