摘要
This study attempts to fill the gap regarding the adequacy of a compassionate care assessment tool by evaluating the tool for use with Greek patients. The Greek version of the compassionate care assessment tool was developed by using forward and backward translation. The reliability and validity of the measures were investigated in a sample of patients hospitalized in public hospitals in Athens. The internal consistency of the instrument was examined based on Cronbach's a coefficients, and the validity was evaluated by subjecting the items of the instrument to factor analysis. The reliability was found to be acceptable for the instrument as a whole and for each of its subscales. Explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis results were satisfactory, indicating the validity of the tool.
