摘要
This paper aims to assess a fatigue life-based reliability assessment under random strain loads for a leaf spring. Failure of this component is considered as a localised damage that is subject to a cyclic load. Random strain data was extracted through experimental analysis from three road conditions with a sampling rate of 500 Hz in 60 s. The goodness-of-fit test proposed a Gumbel distribution as the appropriate model for the three strain-life models in assessing the reliability of the leaf spring. Hence, the Gumbel distribution is proposed for assessing fatigue-based reliability as it provides better life cycle assessment.
