摘要
Marine engine room simulator is necessary equipment for modem navigation education. This paper is combined with the researches on the large marine engine room simulator recently developed by Qingdao Ocean Shipping Mariners College and Dalian Maritime University. In which, a diesel power plant of fifth-generation container ship with 5446TEU is selected as the simulated object. The simulator that simulates almost every sub-system in the engine room and more than two thousands faults to shoot possesses network construction with one computer as data server and more than twenty computers as workstation, as well as some consoles and boards. The simulator accords with the demands of the model courses for chief engineer training offered in the STCW78/95 convention. In this paper the authors is to introduce the innovative design, the plentiful functions of this simulator and the researching methods involved, to discuss the application of IT, such as Network and integrated simulation software.
