摘要
This paper aims at presenting the state of the art of researches on language and technology in English Language Teaching based on research from graduate programs in the Northeast region of Brazil, from 2013 to 2017. We compared the results of this study with a previous state of the art by Paiva (2013). The study is based on research about the state of the art (FERREIRA, 2002) and qualitative research procedures of content analysis (DORNIEY, 2007). Common themes were organized from the collected corpus, initially, at the dissertations and thesis database of CAPES, and later, at the electronic websites of the Graduate Programs in Languages and Linguistics with results related to our research. Results indicate some continuities in methodological practices, but also innovative trends. Noteworthy are studies that evaluate public policies on educational technologies, multimodal text production, as well as the continuity of the challenges faced by English Language teachers in their use of technologies.
