A College English Teaching Mode based on a Computer Network Platform

With the global development of economy and society, English proficiency has become a necessary skill for college students to find jobs, broaden their horizons, understand culture, and obtain access to advanced scientific and technological knowledge. However, the college English teaching mode remains relatively traditional; that is, college students still do not have the English skills required on the global stage. The rapid development and wide application of information network technology provide a new direction for the reform of the college English teaching mode. In this paper, a college English teaching model based on a computer network platform is proposed. The current situation and problems of the traditional college English teaching mode are analyzed, and the advantages and development direction of the college English teaching mode based on a computer network platform are expounded. An experimental investigation is conducted to collect data. Through a comparative analysis of the data, the college English teaching mode based on a computer network platform is found to mobilize students' enthusiasm and initiative. It improves the cultivation of students' oral communication and listening ability and has rich resources to help students understand English culture, broaden their horizons, and cultivate high-quality English skills in accordance with the requirements of the times.
