摘要：
This review covers the classification, isolation, characterization, biological activity and total syntheses of natural products with maleic anhydride structure. Emphasis is on the classification of compounds, their isolation and identification, their biological activity, biosynthesis studies conducted to date, chemical syntheses as well as structure modification and structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies.
