摘要
We carried out an analysis of human gait time series in young and old individuals, and adults with one of the following three illnesses that affect their gait: the Parkinson's and Huntington's diseases, and the amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. We obtained the cumulative plots of events which were bounded by straight lines whose slopes could be a factor to characterize the gait, since most anomalous values belong to ill people. We also calculated the correlation dimension, the Hurst exponent, and the Higuhi's fractal dimension for these time series. In other physiological signals there is a lost of complexity related to aging and illness; in the case of human gait, we found that the opposite occurs.
